Creating a sustainable society implies the creating of investment funds which are not only profitable but responsible. At MAPFRE, our investments are socially responsible: we invest in assets which comply with ESG criteria (Environmental, Social and Governance). In practice, this approach is reflected by helping building a more sustainable future, without overlooking long term profitability.
Socially Responsible Investments (SRI) are a global growing trend. In 2017 we adhered to the United Nations Principles for responsible investments (PRI) and we have been designing new products for our clients, mostly investment funds, that comply with such principles and with ESG criteria. This line of work coexists with our mission and obligation to protect the savings and investments of our clients. For that, we apply prudent investment criteria and we seek the creation of long term value.
